 The Dead Blonde Beauty
It was a late Saturday night it was pouring down raining and I….. Well I was just tired. The doctor say I have six weeks to live, I have stage 3 lung cancer. I knew something was going to happen soon though. Knock Knock Knock. Something was at the door. It was Blondie Charles.
She then said “She dead.” “Who” I said. “Ma sista.” She never could say anything right, which I loved about her because it was so cute.
“How’’ I said. “I found her in cold blood in her room. Someone shot her in the head.”
“I will find whoever did this to her.’’ a faint voice said. “Who said that’’ I said. “It’s me Clark”. Clark justified. I thought to myself it can’t be I thought he died. He then said “Did you miss me”
So Clark, Blondie, and I were on our way to her sister’s penthouse apartment, she was so rich so we knew our motive from the start. As we were searching for fingerprints I noticed a small twinkle in the corner of my eye. So I go to it. It was a 9mm slug bullet I thought to myself, yes we have a clue! All we have to do is go to the store the killer got this at and ask for past purchases by people. On the ride to our first store I realized this bullet was homemade so we can’t pinpoint a suspect.
Clark and I finally made it back to the apartment finally and as we were tossing around ideas about who might have killed Blondies sister Clark started to get beads of sweat on his nose. I couldn’t help to notice Clark’s hand was on his gun. I got suspicious and I walked over to him and said
“Hey you still have the gun from our old detective days?”
“Yes-s” his voice cracked. He was nervous I knew he did something wrong. I asked him “Can I see it” he gave it to me willingly. I unloaded it and found homemade 9mm slugs. When I saw it he jumped up out of his seat and ran.
I was chasing him all around town and finally he made a wrong turn in a dead end ally.
“Why’d you do it, you loved her” I exclaimed. “Because I wanted the money” he said. He then reached for his second gun and I shot him in his face.
I decided that my crime fighting days were over, and the cancer days were to. I was so happy about the news that I beat the cancer I asked Blondie to marry me. To myself I secretly felt bad for killing Clark, but I couldn’t figure out why. On our wedding day I don’t remember how excited I was. That happiness didn’t last long though because something bad happened. You know how I told you how I couldn’t tell why I felt so bad about killing Clark well I figured it out. Blondie then said
“It was me” and shot me. Oh still wondering what happened to Blondie well she’s in Mexico still running from the law.

Why We Shouldn’t have to have School Uniforms.
“Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err,”
—Gandhi.
I believe that students should not have to wear uniforms. Uniforms take away our individuality. Confidence is much harder to achieve while wearing a uniform. Wearing them can get distracting during the day. Some schools say uniforms make us united as a school, but I don’t think they do anything but bother students. Simple rules instead of a uniform could easily be put in place.
Instead of having uniforms I believe we should just have simple guidelines as to what we can and can’t wear. Part of being in school is learning to become responsible. How is telling us exactly what to wear teaching us responsibility. We should be able to know how we can and cannot dress without having the privilege completely taken away. Following the guidelines would help to make us responsible because when we get ready to have a career, our clothing will most likely not be completely decided for us. We will have to follow guidelines for that particular company. Having guidelines for how we dress will also help teach us to follow simple directions. With different rules in place we can reclaim our individuality.
When wearing uniforms, it is a struggle to be an individual. Teachers are always saying how important it is to just be ourselves and not worry about what others might think. Having a uniform takes that away from us, and this may lead students to try to find other ways to be different. They might begin to act out so they stick out from the crowd. Without uniforms we can show everyone who we are through our clothes. Opinions shouldn’t be based solely on clothing of course, but clothing is a fun and easy way to show who are. Being different is huge part of being in school and I think we should be able to have the privilege of wearing what we want. It can also give us more confidence.
Confidence is a huge part of life especially for teens. Uniforms look different on everyone. Some people may feel they don’t look good in their school’s uniform. This feeling makes them worry all day long about what everyone else is thinking of them. Having confidence can be of great importance.
Uniforms can be quite distracting during the day because of all the restrictions. During the day you constantly have to worry about having your shirt tucked in and keeping everything according to code. While worrying about tests you are also constantly worrying about getting caught with uniform violations. After enough uniform violations there will of course be consequences such as a detention. I personally am not always thinking about what I should be, but instead checking my uniform over and over to make sure not to get in trouble. Students have enough stress in their lives; why add more?
A teacher might say it is too distracting to where what you want because everyone will be complimenting each other’s outfit, but it is worth it to have children more comfortable. With so much stress about getting good grades and getting everything done on time, we shouldn’t have to deal with the stress of uniforms. Students already have so many things taken away from them during school hours, individuality and confidence shouldn’t have to be hidden by uniforms. Having a few dress code guidelines is quite an easy fix to these issues. I believe that students should not have to wear uniforms.

my trip to disney

MY TRIP TO DISNEY
“Caleb wake up its time to go to school!” Mom said urgently. I woke and said, “What,” and she said, “You’re going to be late.” I then realized we’re going to Disney World, I was so excited. After I had woke up we ate food, you could smell the crispy bacon that was so juicy you would think it was right off the pig, and the delicious blue berry muffins. Then we went to school we watched movies all day, it was great.
When we finally got to Disney World my sisters and I were so excited. The first thing we did when we got to Disney World was take a picture in front of Cinderella’s Castle, it was a great experience. The next day we went to the Epcot Disney World area. First, we went the ride SOARIN’, a flight simulator, we waited about seventy five minutes in line so you know it was going to be great once you stepped in the line.
The next day we to Hollywood Studios. My favorite ride at Hollywood Studios was the Rocking Rollercoaster’, which is an inside rollercoaster in the dark that plays rock music so loud you actually believe you are at a rock concert. The next day we went to the Animal Kingdom. My favorite ride there was a time travel simulator which brought you to the time event the movie Dinosaur was placed in. That day we went to a food cart and they had the greatest turkey legs, that were as big as my head.

By the end of the trip I was as excited as a lion at feeding time. I can still remember the sweet savory smell of the sticky creamy ice cream being made at Disney World. The lesson I learned from this experience was how great it is to spend good quality time with your family.

GEORGE WASHINGTON
George Washington was one of the greatest presidents ever maybe even the greatest. George Washington was the first president of the United States of America
As a teenager George Washington was very eager to learn a new and important trade, George Washington read mathematical texts to learn the geometric principles necessary for surveying. At seventeen years of age and largely through the Fairfax influence that he had cultivated, Washington secured an appointment as county surveyor for the newly created frontier county of Culpeper, Virginia. He was well on his way to a successful and profitable career. Not only did he receive substantial fees fur surveying, but he discovered firsthand an ability to identify and select the best plots of land for purchase, an especially important consideration in colonial America, where land equaled power.
Washington's ancestors were from Sulgrave, England; his great-grandfather, John Washington, had emigrated to Virginia in 1657. George's father Augustine was a slave-owning tobacco planter who later tried his hand in iron-mining ventures. In George's youth, the Washingtons were moderately prosperous members of the Virginia gentry, of "middling rank" rather than one of the leading planter families. At this time, Virginia and other southern colonies had become a slave society, in which slaveholders formed the ruling class and the economy was based on slave labor.
Six of George's siblings reached maturity, including two older half-brothers, Lawrence and Augustine, from his father's first marriage to Jane Butler Washington, and four full siblings, Samuel, Elizabeth (Betty), John Augustine and Charles. Three siblings died before becoming adults: his full sister Mildred died when she was about one, his half-brother Butler died while an infant, and his half-sister Jane died at the age of 12, when George was about 2. George's father died when George was 11 years old, after which George's half-brother Lawrence became a surrogate father and role model. William Fairfax, Lawrence's father-in-law and cousin of Virginia's largest landowner, Thomas, Lord Fairfax, was also a formative influence.
The death of his father prevented Washington from crossing the Atlantic to receive the rest of his education at England's Appleby School, as his older brothers had done. He received the equivalent of an elementary school education from a variety of tutors, and also a school run by an Anglican clergyman in or near Fredericksburg. Talk of securing an appointment in the Royal Navy for him when he was 15 was dropped when his widowed mother objected. Thanks to Lawrence's connection to the powerful Fairfax family, at age 17 in 1749, Washington was appointed official surveyor for Culpeper County, a well-paid position which enabled him to purchase land in the Shenandoah Valley, the first of his many land acquisitions in western Virginia. Thanks also to Lawrence's involvement in the Ohio Company, a land investment company funded by Virginia investors, and Lawrence's position as commander of the Virginia militia, Washington came to the notice of the new lieutenant governor of Virginia, Robert Dinwiddie. Washington was hard to miss: At exactly six feet, he towered over most of his contemporaries.
In 1751, Washington travelled to Barbados with Lawrence, who was suffering from tuberculosis, with the hope that the climate would be beneficial to Lawrence's health. Washington contracted smallpox during the trip, which left his face slightly scarred, but immunized him against future exposures to the dreaded disease. Lawrence's health did not improve; he returned to Mount Vernon, where he died in 1752. Lawrence's position as Adjutant General (militia leader) of Virginia was divided into four offices after his death. Washington was appointed by Governor Dinwiddie as one of the four district adjutants in February 1753, with the rank of major in the Virginia militia. Washington also joined the Freemasons fraternal association in Fredericksburg at this time.

My Good Day

Today, I was so excited because the day before my parents informed us we were going to Disney World. After I ate breakfast I had to go to school. Since it was the last day of school for me I didn't bring a booksack. The day at school started out great because our first class, all we did was watch a movie. Then, we went to second block, which all we did again was watch a movie. In third block we learned about World War II. After that we just watched movies for the rest of the day.
